The British Tag

This has been making the rounds over the past couple of weeks, so I thought I would give it a go, especially since I actually am a Brit. As per the Beauty Crush vid that started it all, you don’t have to be British to do it!

The British Tag

1. How many cups of tea do you have a day? + How many sugars?

If I’m working at a client’s office, then around 4! At home it’s usually 1-2 cups and no sugars. I also drink a lot of herbal tea.

My stomach hates caffeine, so I try and avoid that where I can! This is a fairly accurate representation of my cupboard:

2. Favourite part of your roast

Yorkshire puddings!

3. Favourite dunking biscuit

Hobnobs are probably my favourite, followed by rich tea (SNORE)

4. Favourite quintessentially British pastime?

Probably sitting by the sea, eating a lemontop (this is quite a northeastern thing, but it’s basically half mr whippy, half lemon sorbet!!)

5. Favourite word?

I say ‘bloody’ all the time and I really bloody love it, I’m not really a person who swears much. My friends say it’s weird when they hear my cursing!

6. Cockney rhyme slang?

As a northern girl, I’m a bit bemused by cockney rhyming slang!

7. Favourite sweet

Chocolate limes all the way.

8. What would your pub be called?

Right, so I actually want to open a video games bar, and will probably call it LeChuck’s Tavern (bonus points if you get the reference).

9. No.1 British person

This is quite tough, because even some of the ones I think are awesome turn out to be villains.

I am definitely going for Patrick Stewart, he’s pretty much the greatest.

10. Favourite shop / restaurant

Topshop for sure, and food wise it has to be Bodeans, even though their food is not typically British!

11. What british song pops into your head?

None really, I might have to do a post about my taste in music, as I don’t like much British stuff!

12. Marmite.

No! Firm hater, right here. (For the Aussie counterparts, Marmite = Vegemite)
