Revlon Colourburst Lip Butter in Strawberry Shortcake

I’ve been looking for the perfect work-y lip colour for a while now. I’m a much bigger fan of bolder bright lip colours, but it’s just not right for work. I wanted a sheerish lipstick that wasn’t necessarily the longest lasting, but could add a pop of colour if I needed to go to a meeting or meet clients.

I’d read a lot about the Lip Butters over the past 12 months (who hasn’t!), so I thought I would take the plunge with this one. It has the standard Revlon packaging – durable, the right amount of heavy and a striking colour. The lip butters also have a clear window at the top, so you can see the colour without removing the lid.

The Formula

They are packed with natural ingredients too, so you’re sure to get the softest of lips without cramming too many chemicals onto my face. Think Mango, Shea and Coconut Butter.

The Shade

I chose Strawberry Shortcake because it was the perfect pink for my skin tone. It’s the cutest shade of pink, without being too barbie. It really adds a girly touch to my makeup look which is quite natural. Though, it would look great if a cheeky after work drinks session calls.

I love that this is a mix between a lip balm and a lipstick. It adds the right amount of sheen and doesn’t feel too heavy like a gloss would. It’s not only made my lips incredibly soft but it’s super pretty. Love it, and will be buying more.

Excuse my poor eyebrows!

You can pick Revlon up at most drugstores, or instore or online at Myer if you’re an Aussie!

Are you a fan of these? What shade should I go for next?
